Yehudit & the Team

Behind
the Hands.

The learning here has deep roots: a living tradition of practice, passed from hand to hand.
The teacher

Yehudit Silver

Yehudit Silver is an experienced Feldenkrais practitioner and teacher, a graduate of the Tel Aviv 2 training program, with extensive experience in clinical work and professional teaching. She studied and worked with Prof. Alon Talmi for many years, and has taught in Feldenkrais training programs in Israel and Europe.

The original Under The Oak course was taught in person by Yehudit for certified Feldenkrais practitioners. In her teaching, she returns again and again to the questions that turn an action into thoughtful practice: What is the practitioner examining? What do they sense? Why do they choose a particular touch? And what in the student's response guides the next action?

The name Under The Oak pays tribute to Alon Talmi and to the way of learning that influenced Yehudit.

The roots

Prof. Alon Talmi

Alon Talmi was among Moshe Feldenkrais's earliest students. He did not leave behind a recipe book or a "method within the method", but an approach to ongoing learning, inquiry, touch and creativity within a structure.

The name Under The Oak is a tribute to him.

This is not a legacy to be frozen.
It is a living tradition.

The people behind the learning environment

·

Yehuda Mellul

Yehuda Mellul has been a certified Feldenkrais practitioner, teaching and working with individuals since 1999. He filmed and edited Yehudit Silver's in-person course and later developed the material into a professional digital learning environment.

In designing the learning environment, Yehuda created the structure that brings ATM, FI, skeleton work and demonstrations together around each topic. He built layers of navigation, search, content mapping, a personal journal and tools for continuing learning around the original course material.
