Under The Oak · For certified practitioners

Not just learning FI.
Learning to think through FI.

A professional course for certified Feldenkrais practitioners. Because there is a moment in every session that no lesson can solve for us in advance.
A hands-on FI demonstration
FI demonstration
At the table

What now?

A person lies on the table.
The hands already know a lot.
We trained. We watched demonstrations. We practised.
And still the question comes:
What now?
Where do I start? What am I really checking?
Did what I did change something?
And what in the response should guide my next action?
It is rarely a lack of knowledge. Often it is the opposite.
The question is how to choose what is right for the person under our hands right now.
That is where FI stops being a set of techniques,
and becomes a way of thinking.
A way of looking at the process

Check, information, choice,
action, response.

Not a rigid protocol. The session unfolds as a continuous conversation between the hands and the person, not as a sequence decided in advance.
01
I check.
02
I receive information.
03
I choose an action.
04
The person responds.
05
Now I know something I did not know before.

The roots

Why
"Under The Oak"?

Prof. Alon Talmi was one of Moshe Feldenkrais’s first students. He did not leave behind a recipe book or a method within the method, but a way of continuous learning, inquiry, touch and creativity within a structure. Yehudit Silver studied alongside him for about ten years, assisted him and documented his work.

The material is not a series produced for the camera. It is a record of a real in-person course for certified practitioners taught by Yehudit, filmed, edited and reorganised as a professional learning space.

The name honours Alon.
It also describes the path.

Roots that hold knowledge.
A trunk that gives structure.
Branches that keep growing.

Who is it for?

Experience should
not end curiosity.

It can make it deeper.
For the practitioner who finished training and still does not feel confident in FI.
For the practitioner with years of experience who wants more structure inside it.
For anyone who knows many techniques and wants to understand what connects them.
For anyone who wants to refine their touch.
For anyone who wants to return to being a learner.
And for anyone who is still curious.
Under The Oak

Not just learning FI.
Learning to think through FI.

Not to leave with another set of treatments to copy, but to arrive at the next session a little differently. More curious. More precise. With a trunk to lean on, and enough freedom to grow your own branches.
